Ali and Lang’s journey has taken them across time zones, climates, and a fair share of airport lounges. It started in Vancouver—where the rain never stops—and picked up speed in Toronto, where they finally met. Chicago brought long-distance calls and winter coats, and New York became home, filled with ambition, takeout menus, and quiet nights in.
They’ve strolled through the streets of Paris, explored Europe, and—believe it or not—enjoyed perfect weather in Dubai. (Yes, really. Not a heatwave in sight.) Along the way, they’ve collected stories, inside jokes, and way too many photos of each other pretending not to pose.
Vancouver will forever be a part of their love story. On January 1, 2025—the very first day of the new year—Lang proposed to Ali at the Raindrop statue by Canada Place. It was a beautiful surprise that left them both overwhelmed with emotion (and yes, a few happy tears). That unforgettable moment was followed by a cozy and joy-filled engagement party at the Fairmont Hotel’s ARC Restaurant, surrounded by close friends, candlelight, and celebration.
